WHERE: Millersylvania State Park is
located approximately 10 miles south of Olympia, WA on the shores of Deep Lake. Our retreat will be held at the park's Environmental
Learning Center. The facility consists of a dining hall/kitchen, two restrooms with showers, 16 cabins for sleeping, numerous
trails for exploring, fishing, boating and non-lifeguard swimming.
WHAT'S PROVIDED: *Heated cabins with single
bunks. You will receive your cabin assignment when you check in at the retreat registration desk on Friday. Accommodations
for persons with disabilities are available (please note any special needs on your registration form). *Meals. Culinary
experts from the Tacoma gay and lesbian recovery community are cooking up Friday night dinner, three meals on Saturday, and
Sunday breakfast for you.
WHAT TO BRING: *Honesty, open-mindedness, and willingness *Bedding: pillow,
sleeping bag, sheets, blankets, etc. *Towels *Personal items: toothbrush, soap, shampoo, etc. *Insect Repellent *Rain gear (just in case) *Walking shoes, bicycles, fishing gear *Swimsuit *Books, games, horseshoes, etc. *Personal medications (please let us know if any medications require refrigeration) *Between-meal snacks (pop and bottled
water will be available for purchase) DIRECTIONS: From south I-5, take exit 95 (Littlerock/Maytown/Hwy
121 N). Turn east onto Maytown Rd SW/Hwy 121 N. Drive 3.1 miles (at the “T” intersection, Hwy 121 N turns left,
becoming Tilley Rd S.) Turn left (west) into the park entrance
PLEASE NOTE: Millersylvania State Park and the LakeShore Retreat are not responsible for participants'
personal belongings. Please plan on securing any valuables in your car trunk.
